When Will You Receive Your Wishing Well Money?

PocketWell processes payouts every Tuesday. Once processed, funds arrive in your Australian bank account within 1–3 business days. This means that for a Saturday wedding, the first payout would typically land the following Wednesday to Friday — 4–6 days after your event.

The PocketWell Payout Schedule

Step 1: Guests contribute

Guests can contribute before, during, and after your event. Contributions are charged immediately via Stripe.

Step 2: Tuesday payout run

Every Tuesday, PocketWell processes all pending contributions and initiates bank transfers.

Step 3: Funds in your account

1–3 business days after the Tuesday payout run. First-time payouts require 5–7 business days for Stripe verification.

Start Collecting Before Your Event

You don't need to wait until your event to receive funds. Set up your wishing well as soon as your invitations go out — many guests prefer to contribute early. Early setup also ensures your Stripe verification is complete before your event date, so you receive your funds without delays.

When does PocketWell process payouts?
PocketWell processes payouts every Tuesday. All contributions received up to that point are included in the Tuesday payout run. Funds then take 1–3 business days to arrive in your nominated bank account, typically landing Wednesday to Friday of the same week.
How long does the first payout take?
Your first payout requires Stripe identity verification, which adds 5–7 business days on top of the standard 1–3 business days. This is a one-time process — subsequent payouts follow the standard Tuesday schedule. We strongly recommend setting up your bank account and completing verification well before your event.
Can I get my money faster?
Payouts run on a weekly Tuesday schedule — this is set by our payment processor (Stripe) and cannot be expedited. However, you can reduce delays by completing bank account verification early, before guests start contributing. Once verified, funds will land within 1–3 business days of each Tuesday payout.
What if my event is on a weekend?
No problem — most Australian weddings and events are on weekends. Guests can contribute before, during, and after your event. The next Tuesday following your event date will include all contributions received up to that point. You can also collect contributions for weeks leading up to your event.
Do guests pay immediately when they contribute?
Yes — guest contributions are charged immediately at the time of payment via Stripe. The funds are held securely and then paid out to your bank account on the next Tuesday payout run. PocketWell is free for hosts — guests pay a small 3.5% processing fee on top of their contribution amount.
